The main fire alarm panel is located on the south outside wall of the north office area. There is also a remote panel for each of the two preaction systems. If a remote panel is in alarm, it must be reset prior to resetting the main panel. |
There is a single stairwell next to the north office area, which provides access to the employee breakroom, locker rooms, and upper office areas. There is no standpipe, pressurization, roof access, or any other fire safety feature in this stairwell. There is an open stairway in the south office area that accesses these same locations, as well as a large vacant upstairs office area and a walkway to 14310 Gillis. Each end of the walkway has a door, but at the time of inspection, there was no automatic closing mechinism on either door. |
The building is fully covered by automatic sprinklers. The two freezer areas in the north end of the building are each covered by a preaction system. There are a total of six (6) post indicator valves on the east and west sides of the building; two in each of three locations. A map is posted next to the fire alarm panel that indicates the zones affected by each valve. |
The non refrigerated warehouse areas have 1 1/2" standpipe connections along the east wall and through the middle of the rack storage. |
