What do you think? -----Original Message----- From: Hal Watson [mailto:hwatson@snk.com] Sent: Monday, March 15, 2010 1:39 PM To: Nancy Cline Cc: Scott Langley; Debbie Evans; Clay Barnett Subject: Fw: RE: Final C.O. for SNK Nancy, Again, thanks for speaking with me on Friday. Below and attached please find SNK's status update/responses regarding the outstanding items. Upon the Town of Addison confirming the necessary size of the bond, SNK should be able to obtain said bond within 3-4 days of receiving that information from The Town. As I mentioned, it's imperative that Allegro receive its final CO before the end of March. We continue to address everything within our control for the Town of Addison. Unfortunately, some of The Town's requests simply can't get done by March 31st. Please let me know what else SNK needs to do, if anything. SNK – is this something that can be completed by March 25th? * We ordered 4 bollards per the Town of Addison ’s request. These were not on the approved plans, but ordered per TOA’s request. They should arrive by 3/26/2010 and will be installed by SNK upon receipt. Please find attached an email showing shipping info and order confirmation. I am unable to confirm if this can be completed by the end of March due to possible shipping delays. * Joint Sealer – the weather has made it difficult. Dave said there is ongoing touch-up occurring. The joint sealer is important because it keeps the water from going into the subgrade and helps the pavement last longer. Dave and Clay – is this something we are satisfied with in its current condition? * There are places along Spruill where the joint sealer in the concrete has come loose. The concrete contractor has repaired as much as possible, although it seems it will be an ongoing maintenance issue. I have purchased the joint sealer material and we will be re-caulking as necessary. * Street Light – was ordered by SNK and I understand that an escrow was deposited with the Town. It is currently estimated to arrive in June, correct? Assuming SNK will install and the Town will reimburse the escrow. We should be able to final the C.O. with the knowledge that this is going to happen. * Spectrum Street Light – Manufacturer had delays in acquiring the pole. We ordered the street light on 11/24/2009 (paid in full) with a March ship date. The new ship date is 6/18/2010, I would estimate the pole would arrive in Addison by 6/28/2010. I have asked for a 60 day extension from our prior agreement which ends 5/31/2010 due to manufacturer issues. Brandon Graham, Town of Addison Street Dept. , has been in contact with Schreder, the manufacturer, about the time delays. * Maintenance Bond and as-builts (record drawings) - please submit these to Clay Barnett. Clay – is there anything else they need to submit? * We are waiting on approval from Clay Barnett to confirm the maintenance bond amount. Please find attached a public works infrastructure breakdown totaling $529,495.80. This would mean the maintenance bond would need to be $53,000 (10% of infrastructure value). * Record Drawings were hand delivered to Clay Barnett by Scott Langley . This included mylars, a CD with electronic files, and paper copies. * Please verify with our Building Official, Lynn Chandler that Building Inspection has all their requirements met. I have copied him with this e-mail also. * I spoke with Lynn Chandler today, 3/15/2010 and he confirmed the all building inspection requirements have been met.
