All, Steve made me aware of this issue earlier this afternoon. I have had a chance to analyze the consumption on the two meters and compare it to Phase I of Allegro which we are assuming was piped correctly. If their occupancy pattern and number of units is similar to Phase I then it looks like about 800,000 to 1,000,000 gallons did not register since the installation of the two meters. Clay do you know if the number of units in Phase II are similar? We will work on our side to determine what needs to be done in terms of billing corrections, but for the Public Works side what is the plan for correcting this issue? Was this an issue by the contractor in installing these incorrectly or is it something that could have been caught at inspection? I appreciate you guys doing the verification sooner than later. Roller Subject: 15750 Spectrum The vaults at Allegro are piped opposite of what they should be. The Domestic Meter Vault is piped into the Fire Protection system and the Fire Meter Vault is piped into the Domestic Water system. We verified this by installing a hose to the Domestic Double Check Valve Assembly on the first Test Cock past valve #1 but before check #1. Turned Test Cock on and shut Valve #1 in the Fire Meter Vault off and the hose lost pressure immediately; therefore verifying the Fire Meter Vault is tied into the Domestic Water system. At that point we decided not to attempt the same test on the Domestic Meter Vault as this would affect their Fire Protection system and we did not want to set off any alarms.
