Hal, I am sorry, but the Town of Addison does not have the ability to sell lights. Thanks, Clay Barnett, P.E. We are having a heck of a time getting a light pole ordered...and it appears delivery and installation will take longer than either of us desire. So, I have a proposal for you. We buy one of the lights you have in inventory for some price you decide. In addition, SNK will order and pay for a brand new replacement light. When the brand new replacement light arrives, you would pay us the same price that we paid you for the light you had in inventory. In this manner, SNK would be taking all of the risk associated with both the price and delivery of the new replacement light. In fact, the new replacement light could be delivered directly to the Town. I hope you find this idea ingenious and fair. Also, I would understand if the Town needed to charge us some type of restocking or handling fee. We desperately need the CO on the last section of our building. Please help us. He did mention that they have 12 light poles and assemblies in their storage yard. I have contacted three different vendors who are authorized retailers for the Schreder light pole and assembly. These companies include M&M Lighting, CESCO Electric and Lighting Associates. The local distributor for the Schreder pole is Hossley Lighting Associates. Hossley has requested pricing and availability (on 11/16/09) from Schreder (a Canadian company), although we still have not heard back. It seems Schreder the light pole manufacturer subs out the steel work for the construction of the pole and is waiting to get pricing on the steel core. From my understanding it takes 12-14 weeks to get the light pole from date of order. I also have been in contact with Bill Simpson of Texas Lighting who is a contact of Ron Lee, Town of Addison Parks. Bill took a look at the existing bent light pole and seems to think a new base assembly with a certified weld would fix the light pole. I am not sure if this would be accepted by the Town of Addison engineering department, but I wanted to explore all options. Also, I have a meeting setup tomorrow with Brandon Graham, Town of Addison Public Works, in regard to procuring the light pole. Brandon is in charge of street light maintenance and has some contacts that hopefully can help us get the light ordered. In summary, as of tonight I still have not been able to get firm pricing or a delivery date on the light pole. I have explored every option and have followed up repeatedly with the above vendors. Please advise.
