We will let Public Works/Utilities take the lead on making any modifications, but in the mean time if they are using the line for irrigation we would like to bill them right now for
irrigation as they are getting a pretty good deal being billed as a fire.
Thanks,
Katie

Clay / Katie,
In this case the fire line should have never been tied into after the meter for irrigation. I have been informed that this line irrigates the model homes, which will eventually be occupied
by Addison residents. The fire in my opinion needs to remain “fire” and the connection for the irrigation line needs to be dug up and capped and the irrigation should be tied into the
community irrigation system (My recommendation) by the contractor. I believe that there are master irrigation meters that irrigate the other homes and these model homes should be consistent
with the rest. The other options are to tee off the domestic line after the meter (sewer charges) or make a separate tap for irrigation only.
Thanks FIRE LINE

Steve and Clay,
In regards to this IRR meter at Ashton Woods that has been billed as a Fire, Steve can you get us a meter card changing the meter type. We will just bill them as an irrigation. There
will be no sewer, since we don’t bill sewer on fire or irrigation service.
Clay – if you all are fine with leaving the connection as is we are fine to just bill them as an IRR. We’ll let you take the lead on if the issue needs corrected or not. If you are aware
of any other issues that come up like this where connections are swapped please let us know so we make sure we are billing accurately.
We appreciate all of your help.
Thanks!
Katie

Steve,
I have been asking them for over a year to correct this and it has yet to be completed. If there is a method by which we can surcharge the bill, I would recommend it. Perhaps we could
bill it at the domestic rate and tack on sewer charges. The other option is to disconnect the service and let the plants die (not an option I would recommend). After a year of effort,
I can safely say that it will not get fixed unless we force the issue.
Thanks,

Jose,
Just to remind you of the meter over at Ashton Woods, at 3924 Sugar Tree Way (One of their model homes, David R’s office) they T’d off the FM with an Irrigation D.C. (I’m assuming it’s
IRR, David wasn’t there to ask, 77,000 gallons of useage as of 8-2-10). Holly in Finance wants to change it to an IRR and wants to back bill them for the irrigation rate instead of
at the Fire rate they have been getting.
