Clay, The signs have always been in place, never removed, damage or otherwise. What they are asking is if we can put in additional signs. I am looking into this. There is also one sign that has blown off in the high winds that we are trying to get replaced. The police went to the wrong house due to the layout of the house entrances. I called the Town of Addison, spoke with Clay Barnett, asking the city to replace the sign. Clay told me there was a sign at that intersection per the developer’s plans. The sign is no longer there. The community is not built-out, so in his email (below), Clay explained the responsibility for replacement would be the developer’s, not the city’s. I asked Clay for a summary in writing so we could move forward and ask Ashton Woods, and he copied on that email. Can you help? Please let me know if you need more information. Is this in reference to the street sign that was blown off by the high winds during a storm? I need more information please. The Asbury Circle Subdivision has not been accepted by the Town of Addison and will not be accepted until such time as the construction is complete. Prior to project completion, the development is being maintained by Ashton Woods. Ashton Woods was notified of this when we completed the preliminary walkthough on August 7, 2008. At that walkthough, we confirmed that all the items shown on the engineered construction documents were installed properly. This would include the signs you have described. It is apparent that the signs have been removed since the walkthough on August 7, 2008 and could possibly have been destroyed by the ongoing construction within the subdivision. Therefore, Ashton Woods should promptly replace the missing street name signs. I have copied David Rodriquez on this email so that he will be aware that the street name signs need to be replaced. If you have any questions or need any additional information, please feel free to contact me. Thanks, Clay Barnett, P.E.
