Mark, Attached is a revised drawing for the final work in the north RSA in the vicinity of the FAA light tower. It was necessary to make some changes from the original based on conditions found at the site. We will not be able to provide FAA maintenance with a concrete parking area as initially planned. Instead, the concrete will be used to construct a very wide and shallow drainage swale to carry runoff past the tower on the north side. FAA maintenance techs will still be provided with a parking / service area – something they do not presently have – but it will be gravel over Tensar mesh rather than concrete. They may complain, but really it is our airport and our money and our primary interest is in providing an RSA that complies with FAA standards. This rearrangement was done so as to keep the same cost. I will forward this to Tony Williams, the Dallas SSC Manager who is over the FAA maintenance guys here, just as a courtesy.
