Clay, It looks like the project will be foreclosed on next month and fortunately for us the lender has executed an escrow agreement to pay us our balance owed so we will re-install the domestic water meter, complete the punch items, provide the record set of plans and maintenance bond for the City's requirements to obtain final acceptance to assistance in their interest to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy. Please find the attached sketches depicting what our supervisor, Nelson Amaya, 817-991-5651, has indicated the inspector, Dave, has requested. Install a PVC pipe/liner in the invert of the Sanitary Sewer manhole, that was previously placed over the existing pipe with a new concrete invert installed - This was not required as a part of the plans and we don't recognize this as any industry standard. We respectfully request a waiver of this requirement. 2. Install internal drop connection in the square storm drain manhole where the 18" ductile iron line was installed - This was not required as a part of the plans. A drop connection is normally only encountered for Sanitary Sewer applications. We respectfully request a waiver of this requirement. 3. Remove and replace a minimum of 4' x 8' section of concrete paving to plumb the valve box over the previously installed valve - we respectfully request a waiver to just remove enough pavement to adjust the valve box and then use a high quality grout to patch the small void. The pavement was replaced by other trades subcontracted to the general contractor and who was responsible for knocking the valve box out of plumb. We have no recourse or way to require them to make the repair. The inconvenience to the local traffic and the time and cost to remove and replace the larger section of pavement doesn't seem warranted for the City's interest.
