The funds available currently will cover the base bid. Freese & Nichols is contacting Landmark to ask about the magnitude of their bid items for the wind turbines and the learning center. We plan to meet early next week with Joe Willix to discuss the wind turbines and options there. We will be submitting the bid information to SECO after having these discussions. Mary Jo (with SECO) had requested we notify her of the bid prices once they were received. She said they have been seeing price escalations of 1.5 times a year ago. We received two bid envelopes. The one that was sent in Fed Ex from Chicago Bridge and Iron indicated they were not bidding because they did not have enough time. They had called when it was advertised over three weeks ago and asked for more time then. We explained the bid schedule. At the pre-bid, we offered to meet with them and answer any questions they had. Similar issues happen with road projects but usually there are more bidders involved. We will continue to update you on the status of the agenda item and will make a recommendation on what to award after talking to Landmark, Joe Willix and SECO. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, Nancy Nancy Straub Cline, P.E.
