Install the Ductile Iron centered on the Sewer crossing for the 8" main per 20.44.e.4.B.i. Relocate the Fire Hydrant to the other Curb Return. This will alleviate the Fire Hydrant lead length being an issue, as well as the 290.44.e.6 (pg 53) which prohibits installing a fire hydrant within 9' of a waste water main or lateral, and the problem of the fire hydrant lateral crossing the sewer line If requested, we could even replace 1 joint of the existing wastewater lateral with water pipe. The only question that remains is do we need to remove the valve's and tee's at the original fire hydrant location? Please let us know if this is acceptable and we can proceed with the field change, as-builts to show the revisions. Thank you, Kyle Marsh Vice President C-Con Services, Inc. Get with Gary on the length of pipe. Jim Kinder Executive Vice President Messer Group, Inc. P.O. The only remaining alternate that I see will be in the TCEQ Regulations - Section 290.44.e.4.B.iv.III (contained on Page 52 of the attachment to this email). This requires either the casing of the waterline, or the construction of the waterline with ductile iron or steel pipe. This change in pipeline material would exist from the new water / fire main along the west side of the property to the new fire hydrant. Joints would need to be welded, and the water and wastewater mains would need to be pressure tested in accordance with the remainder of this section. Can you please review and give us your thought prior to us proceeding? Thanks. -- Glen G. Glen Kistenmacher, P. E. Kistenmacher Engineering Co., Inc. Attached is that detail, for review and comment, based on the TCEQ rules and regulations. As you probably already know, this condition is occurring near the SE corner of the existing building. After reviewing, please let us know if you have any questions or need any additional information / clarification. Thanks. G. Glen Kistenmacher, P. E. Kistenmacher Engineering Co., Inc.
