Here is the TxDOT Standard we were discussing this AM. Couple of items to note: 1. no matter what side slope 2:1 or 3:1 we use the footing will be 2' - 6" wide with the heel (back) = 9", the wall 9" which means the toe (front) will be 12" 2. if we use a 3:1 slope (from table on left side) the headwall length for one 36" pipe is 27' - 0" and you have to add 5' - 1" for each additional pipe which results in a total headwall length of 37' - 1" 3. if we use 2:1 then the length for one 36" pipe is 19' - 0" plus 5' - 1" for each additional pipe which results in a headwall length of 29' - 1". If we use 2:1 we either have to rip rap for a few out from the headwall or install a turf reinforcement mat installed to allow for vegetation to grow without washing out? Comments? Suggestions?
