Nancy, I spoke with Jose and the issue has been resolved. He has given his phone number to the contractor and will contact them daily to insure that all the lines they need marked get marked. I let him know that if he has concerns about safety to let me know and we would supplement from streets or utility crews as necessary to provide traffic control. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks, Clay Barnett, P.E. I believe that we should have a plan for inlet protection if it becomes necessary. There are a couple of different inlet protection details in the SWPPP manual we can implement if it becomes necessary. I have spoken with the SWPPP company and they agree that this would be fine. Also the Town of Addison is a member of 811 and we called for locates through Digg Tess. The guy who marks the water for the Town came out and said he was not going to mark the water because there was too much traffic and gave us a set of papers to go off of. We can not be responsible for information off of a set of papers. We need the water lines marked on the ground in order to try and locate them. We will use the papers as a reference when locating the ground markings. ________________________________ From: Nancy Cline [mailto:ncline@addisontx.gov] Sent: Monday, June 20, 2011 3:04 PM To: 'billy@groveselectric.com' Cc: 'Jason Shroyer'; kpower@rhsitx.com Subject: FW: Addison - Belt Line - SWPPP Billy, Is there a compelling reason to place inlet erosion control on Belt Line? What does your SWPPP expect? Could we wait and see if good housekeeping practices suffice and if not, utilize inlet protection at that time? I would like to discuss with them the meaningfulness of the inlet protection. Or, I can discuss with Billy. Thank you, Nancy From: Jason Shroyer [mailto:jshroyer@rhsitx.com] Sent: Monday, June 20, 2011 8:27 AM To: Nancy Cline Cc: kpower@rhsitx.com Subject: RE: Addison - Belt Line - SWPPP Mrs. Cline, Having an SWPPP is part of the specifications in the contract, and as such it is not my place to say whether it is or is not appropriate for this project. Billy submitted a tentative SWPPP that has not been approved, and in the interest of saving time also submitted a detail (first detail with straw wattles). We approved his original detail and he began installing the inlet protections, however he was unable to meet the specifications of the first detail he provided. We then submitted to him that the SWPPP was unacceptable and needed to be brought into compliance. He was unable to bring his original inlet protections into compliance with the detail that was provided. He then submitted a new detail. We are now in the process of approving his new detail. Please contact me if you have any questions. Thank you for your time.
