Clay, 1. For the backflow devices for this hospital (2-6” rpz’s for domestic) (1-8”double detector check for fire) we planned on locating these inside the building in the mechanical room & fire pump room due to space constraints outside the building. Is this acceptable? 2. Is there a maximum distance requirement that the domestic water entry piping and fire entry piping can be under the building, from the edge of the building, or edge of street before turning up into an interior mechanical room & fire pump room?
