Clay, While the asphalt repairs around the water taps on Addison Rd appear to be finished, there is some question as to the smoothness of the ride going over them at speed. The patches themselves seem to be smooth, but the transitions to and from the existing pavement is quite noticeable. Johnathon was wondering if we had a preference on how to remedy the situation. Robin does not have a preference at this time because of all the valve pads in the pavement. Any milling and re-asphalting would be difficult, if not impossible, with those in the pavement. I do not know if it would be possible or practical to mill and overlay the transitions in front of and between the patches to match more smoothly to the patches. That seems to me to be the only solution. We may have to just wait until we re-do Addison Rd in concrete at some point in the future. David E. Asphalt Repairs Dave, I do not know how to answer this as I wasn’t involved in any discussion about making the connections in the first place. Right now I avoid the curb lane when driving by the hospital. I’m open to discussing this with Clay and you if you’d like.
