Dave, We have allowed this in the past given that we receive a letter signed by an officer of the company that states that the owner will remove the sign within 24 hours of receiving a request from Addison Utilities to do so. If in the event that the owner is unable to have the sign removed, the Town would remove the sign at the owner’s expense. Alternatively, they could relocate the water line around the sign. Please let me know how they wish to proceed. Thanks, Clay Barnett, P.E. The contractor/architect is proposing to place the main monument sign off the tollway, within a water line easement. Will you allow the sign within the easement since it will not have any piers, just a shallow foundation? Typically we would move signs out of easements, but since the sign is critical to the main entry it would be better to be close to the tollway frontage. Also, the sign is proposed to be perpendicular to the easement. Please let me know what you think. Thanks, David K. Kochalka, P.E.
