The fire lanes are required to support the largest fire apparatus for Addison, Carrollton and Farmers Branch.  As long as the substitution stills meets this criteria, then it is acceptable
within the limits of the development.  Lime or crushed stone/concrete in accordance with the NCTCOG Standard Specifications is required under the driveways.

Clay – the contractor has requested to modify the pavement section within the project to eliminate the lime stabilization and substitute an additional 1 inch of concrete.  Can you confirm
this is acceptable to the Town.  The geotechnical engineer has reviewed the proposed change and is in agreement with the substitution.

 

The pavement within the ROW will remain as shown on the plans (no change is proposed).
