Nancy, I wanted to follow up with you after the council meeting last week and see if you have had any feedback from the city manager regarding the stormwater issues we discussed. It was my impression that the city manager is open to the idea of a stormwater utility and we would love to sit down with you sometime soon to discuss this topic. Over the past couple of years, we have helped multiple communities in the Metroplex implement a stormwater utility and we would like to assist you in any way possible. Additionally, over the course of our preparation for the Council meeting, I briefly touched on some of the Stormwater Mobile GIS applications I have programmed for the City of Allen and Town of Flower Mound. I have attached the paper I am presenting at the ASCE Texas Section Conference that gives a general overview of how we have helped the City of Allen with their Phase 2 requirements including: stormwater inventory, illicit discharge dry weather inspections and construction site erosion control inspections. Let me know if you have any questions about these applications or if you would like to see a demo. Finally, I am working on updating the Stormwater Master Plan report with our final recommendation and a discussion of all the “what if” scenarios we investigated. I hope to have this complete in the next couple of weeks so we can deliver the final draft to you. Please let Walter, Andy or I know if you would like to set up a meeting to talk about any of these topics.
