Jennifer, I received a similar request from Debra at Travelers. I have informed her that we did not require a bond for the job and that Travelers would not be held liable for the bond. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks, Clay Barnett, P.E. Town Engineer Town of Addison 16801 Westgrove Drive Addison, TX 75001-2818 Office: (972) 450-2857 From: Jennifer Jobe [mailto:JJobe@msfinsurance.com] Sent: Thursday, September 02, 2010 4:23 PM To: Clay Barnett Cc: Richard French Subject: IAM Construction, Plane Smart project 2009 Importance: High Dear Clay, As a follow up to my message; In October 2009, IAM Construction was participating in a construction job for PlaneSmart at the Addison Airport. During the course of this construction, it was thought that some excavation would be required in order to tap into the waterline next to the fire department. Instead, the City brought the waterline to the location, which relieved us of the requirement for a bond. All this being said, our old insurance agency, BenefitCorp, apparently issued a bond through Travelers without our knowledge. I have been asked by Travelers to confirm that the City of Addison did not receive this bond or file it. The bond number in question is 105356234 and is said to have been issued around October 14, 2009. I do not have record of this bond and ask that you check into your files to confirm that you did not receive this bond. Thank you in advance for your assistance, Clay.
