Robin, Clay, and I have visited on the poles, and we have a concern about the 1 ½” pole proposed. There is a 2-inch pole being used in the park, but for regulatory signs in the street,
we believe it is not thick enough. We have used a 3-inch TXDOT pole in Addison Circle that is vinyl-coated black. Robin said if we can get a TXDOT standard 3-inch pole, we can vinyl-coat
it brown to match the other poles in the district and in the park. Will that work?

Lea and Carmen- LRK had previously been asked to recommend a Vitruvian Park standard for the poles and bases for regulatory signs. The poles that they have proposed and have been programmed
in the design are not standard Addison poles. Apparently, Clay sent the description of the LRK poles to Robin Jones and they have rejected them as they prefer the standard poles for
the streets. While I recognize that the standard pole is easier for future repair and replacement, it deviates from what will be in the park and doesn’t line up with the original design
intent. We would prefer to install the LRK poles as planned. Let’s discuss at your earliest convenience as the poles are scheduled for installation very soon. Thanks.
