Little; Nick Jacob; Jules Roberts; Mark Culwell Subject: Vitruvian Park - Town of Addison - "Prelim" Streetscape Accessibility Inspection Per your request, I provided a "preliminary" on-site inspection of the above reference portion of the overall construction project and found everything in substantial compliance with at least the minimum accessibility requirements of the Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS) with the exception of the following construction elements: Some of the pole-mounted pedestrian traffic "push" buttons were located on the wrong side of the street poles - must be on the most adjacent side for a straight route into the crosswalk; And, a few of the push-button opportunities did not have the minimum required 30" X 48" clear floor spaces (centerlined at 24" for a clean side approach reach range) because there was not the required level landings of a maximum 2% slope in any direction and / or had level changes of more than 1/4". It is my understanding that these areas will either be infilled properly with steel reinforced concrete to match adjacent surface (which would look the best and not look like an "after-though") or additional jumbo brick pavers like what was used in the crosswalks. Please also refer to the attached Invoice for the services rendered. Should you have any questions regarding my findings of the Town of Addison "public portion" accessibility elements reviewed, please call ! Fred D.
