Just so that everyone is aware, we have been working with Oncor on this issue for quite some time (roughly two and a half years).  Karen Eastman from Oncor has told us that the cost
is proprietary information and that they will not share it with us or UDR.  The only thing she would give us is the lump sum cost.  We even went as far as to estimate the cost and debate
the charges, but she has more or less stated that if we want the street lights to function this is the price.  We have involved Randy Newsome in the past as well, but he has said it
is a new service matter and that he cannot help us.  Welcome to the age of deregulation…  Karen’s phone number is 817-355-7050.

 

Some of the issue is that the facilities were designed to serve future buildings as well as the street light system.  If the system was designed to only serve the street lights, it would
be much smaller.  The smaller system would have to be upgraded in the future at UDR’s expense, which did not make sense.  For this reason, UDR elected to pay for the installation of
the electric.

UDR may not care, but if we ask for the detail and receive it and then share that with UDR, I think that goes toward showing UDR that we are trying to protect each of the Town's and
UDR's interest.  Also, this may come up again in the future and it may be the Town next time that is paying, and getting Oncor on board now with providing detail should help in any future
situations.

can release the project to construction.  As requested in the meeting yesterday, the order of construction will be to install the temporary overhead line, remove the idle facilities
