The repairs need to be made before we can pull wire in the manholes. We have installed the racks in the manholes and have done all we can do until they are repaired. Additionally, the layout of the electrical equipment at the location near Ponte and Vitruvian Way has not been finalized because of clearance issues. Your contractor has not yet installed the transformer pad and the conduit at this location because of these issues. Basically what I am saying is that we cannot pull our wire into the manholes/duct bank system until the repairs have been made to this system and we cannot pull wire and set the last transformer until the conduit and transformer pad has been installed by your contractor. They have not been able to install the conduit and pad because the area for the equipment including your disconnect equipment is so tight that our minimum clearance requirements are not being met. If the contractor will make the repairs to the first three manholes (starting at the temporary overhead line) we will install the cable and the first transformer. We don’t like to make multiple trips to the site but we will to expedite the one transformer. The contractor can them concentrate on the other three manholes while your contractor is installing the last conduit and transformer pad. If you have any questions, please call. Lewandowski; Clay Barnett Cc: jmassey@icon-engineers.com Subject: FW: Vitruvian Transformers and Meter Sets I received the following note this morning from construction. This is in regard to the damage to the manhole system I was referring to in my note below. Karen, we have the DFW Airport crew pumping out the 6 MH’s on Brookhaven Club Dr. in preparation to pull in the street light primary to feed the UG transformers and city owned street lights on Brookhaven Club drive. There are several locations where the paving contractor has knocked the manhole stacks crooked and this will need to be repaired and mud cleaned out before wire can be pulled in and terminated in these manholes. Crew Supervisor Loyd Mosley is supplying a list of required corrections for the civil contractor to Wayne Morse. Let me know when these corrections have been completed. Wayne, our inspector, will get with ForceCon, North Texas sub, on the repairs. ForceCon may contact your street contractor if they are responsible for the damage. Please let me know when the repairs have been completed. Lewandowski' Cc: Clay Barnett Subject: RE: Vitruvian Transformers and Meter Sets I spoke to our inspector and the customer’s civil is not yet completed. There is a problem with one of the manholes (grouting I believe) that is allowing a great deal of water into the manhole. ForceCon, the sub for North Texas, has been notified and are working on the problem. I think there are also some issues with the installation of the street and the neck/covers of some of the manholes. I think ForceCon is trying to work out the problem with the contractor who installed the street. Additionally, the layout of the electrical equipment to be located closest to Vitruvian Way and Ponte has not yet been finalized. There are space issues and clearance problems that are being addressed. The single phase transformer pad and conduit has not yet been installed. As soon as I receive a final drawing from the developer and approve it, Fox will be released to install the conduit and pad. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me.
