Nick, ProjectMates will not let us submit an RFI at this time b/c Jennifer Haynes is still listed as an “inactive”, but is the primary recipient as all correspondence. The system gives an error and needs to be fixed by your administrator. NTC has an RFI we would like ICON to review now, and we can formalize it later when ProjectMates is remediated. RFI: There is an unknown source of water infiltrating in the sub-grade area for phase 3 paving from around station 9+50 to 11+00 +/-. The field adjacent to the Andres and UDR job trailers is where we believe this water is filtering under. This is the piece of land that was recently landscaped with trees and irrigation adjacent to Talisker Apartments. NTC has currently set up sump pumps to allow this area to be worked, but is concerned with permanent concrete subgrade integrity and quality longevity. JRJ has made notice of this area as well and would like to receive a formal response from the engineer regarding this prior to continuing with remixing. We have a little bit of time since we are essentially rained out today and most likely tomorrow. NTC recommends installing an underdrain or drop structure to effectively tie into the newly installed 24” line SD-D4. This will need to come from ICON and a cost would need to be established and formally submitted prior to any work. Please advise. Thanks, Andrew D.
