New RFI No. 16 As of 23-Jun-2009 5:05 PM CT Vitruvian Infrastructure Phase 1B 4010 Marsh Lane Addison, Texas 75001 Project Number: 1308B Status: Outstanding Subject Proposed line SS-B Fix and grade changes Reason Code None Question As a formal response from RFI #7 where Clay Barnett stated the following: "It is apparent that the section of Line SS-B between STA 14+79.68 to 15+63.68 was not placed on 0.30% slope as indicated on Sheet 68 of the construction documents. Therefore this section of Line SS-B shall be reinstalled at the slope specified in the Construction Documents. Since the slope of the pipe downstream of STA 14+79.68 is greater than 0.30%, it would be possible to reinstall a section of this line on minimum slope. This would mitigate the need to go upstream of STA 15+63.68. If North Texas Contracting would like to pursue this option, a new RFI needs to be issued requesting the plan revision. " Proposed Solution NTC proposes to re-install line SS-B as shown on the attached sketch. NTC will take the slight PI difference out of the 4 - 14' laying joints. Please advise if this is acceptable, and provide a plan revision for construction. Attached Files Vitruvian - Proposed line SS-B fix.pdf Section: 2 - Sitework Int.
