New RFI No. 29 As of 20-Oct-2009 7:36 AM CT Vitruvian Infrastructure Phase 1B 4010 Marsh Lane Addison, Texas 75001 Project Number: 1308B Status: Outstanding HOT! Subject Transverse Joint Spacing for 10" Thick Concrete Paving Reason Code None Question Sheet 28 gives joint spacing for 5" through 8" thick concrete paving, but nothing for the 10" thickness that we have switched to. what should be that spacing of the transverse saw joints for 10" thick paving? Proposed Solution It appears that the spacing increases 2' with every inch of paving thickness, so that would mean that 10" paving thickness would warrant a 20' transverse joint spacing.
