Subject	Phase 2 water line connection at Marsh Lane  	
Question	 Sht. 55 (WL A) shows the proposed 8" water line to tie in north of Vitruvian Way near station 1+10.25. According to the Town of Addison inspector, Mr. Dave Wilde, the existing
8" line we show to remove in actually a new line. He claims the cut and plugs on the existing 8" line running east to west at the SE corner of Marsh and Vitruvian have already been performed.
	
Proposed Solution	 If what Mr. Wilde claims is true, NTC proposes to just continue the line W-A running down the south lanes of Vitruvian straight (perpendicular) into the existing 8"
rather than using 45 degree bends and having to wait until phase 3 to complete our ability to energize our new line. If we run the line straight at sta. 0+66 rather than bending north,
NTC could make the connection to the existing line just north of the existing gate valve by cutting in a tee. By doing so, this would allow us to energize the line quicker, eliminate
the need for the valve at sta 0+65, reduce the footage of pipe installed by roughly 105', eliminate 3 ductile iron fittings, eliminate 2 cut & plugs, eliminate some removal of the existing
line, and basically save the Town money. NTC will not want to credit back days as this will take time for exploration and discovery.
