In particular, they have had guys working on elevated platforms without being tied off. That’s a huge no-no for us, and Dave’s guys have noticed it and commented. The attached photo shows a guy in a lift without any fall protection, as an example of what we are talking about. This one in the picture was pretty mild, but they have had guys crawling around on the steel – out of the lifts – without being tied off. We are not OSHA inspectors, but we can’t help seeing things like this. If it was a contractor working for us, we would shut them down in a heartbeat, but since they don’t work for us, well … what would you like us to do? Is there someone with the Town that we should call? We don’t want to get in someone else’s business where it’s not appropriate, but again this is a safety concern that is on the airport and it makes us very uncomfortable. Can you give us some direction on how you would like us to proceed in these instances?
