All – I received a reminder that the pre-bid meeting for the Vitruvian Well is tomorrow at 2:00. Unfortunately, I will be in San Antonio for public funds investment training for the remainder of the week. My presence isn’t strictly necessary by policy, but I do generally like to be there. In my absence, I believe Clay has a pre-bid agenda that accurately summarizes what I usually say. In case that document is unavailable, I mention the following: 1. The bid bond can either be on a form deemed acceptable by the state of Texas or a company/bank check, and is in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount. The bond must be a signed original: no copies will be accepted. The bond must be present at the time of opening, or the bid will be declared irregular. 2. Please make sure the bid is signed by an authorized representative of your company. Any submission lacking a signature will be declared irregular. 3. After (Bid Opening Date/Time), no bids will be accepted. It is recommended you hand deliver your bids; if you choose not to, we recommend you use a service with guaranteed delivery times. I also make sure everyone signed the sign-in sheet and field any questions related to purchasing. Usually, these are pretty basic questions, but if they’re not, feel free to email me and I’ll make sure my responses are available to release through an addendum. Again, I apologize for the conflict. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance. -matt Matthew E. McCombs Management Analyst Town of Addison (972) 450-7090 Fax: (972) 450-7065 mmccombs@addisontx.gov
