Lauren went through and added the column for what DISD offered to pay of the Park contract. The two main bid items that are reduced are: 1.) Mobilization - we asked for $200,000 (50 % of the bid amount of $400,000) and they offered $100,000 2.) excavation - we requested $462,777 (half of $925,554 that was bid) and they offered $232,000. Those are the major ones and add up to approx. $330,000 which ultimately makes our total less than $1,000,000 for the park. I think we need to meet with them and discuss the reimbursement of design expenses for the bridge and possibly the park also. And the addition of the item below. I can request a meeting for Wed. March 24th. THey have Commissioner's Court on Tuesdays and are usually busy. Alternatively, we could request to modify our agreement to include the paving of Vitruvian Way that is not under contract yet and the paving of Spring Valley. Guessing that the paving of Vitruvian Way (no utilities) is $500,000 and the paving of Spring Valley is $1,600,000 (no utilities) then we could ask for half ($1,050,000) of the total of $2,100,000 . If DISD pays for a portion, then Dallas County would remove their portion. Ultimately, this would help us reach the total of $2,000,000 in justifiable expenses. I think these roads each qualify as thoroughfares that have through traffic and that are being constructed to the planned ultimate cross section.
