Nick,
Could you put some numbers on the meter locations out there so that we do not have to go through this process again with Oncor? I am not sure I can survive it a second time…

Joel or Clay,
One of the requirements is that the addresses be clearly marked on site so the meter man can ensure he is putting the meter in the right location and does not criss cross addresses with
meter numbers. By law we are supposed to cancel the orders that we can’t set unless we can straighten out the problem quickly.
Do you have a contact name and number that the meter man can speak to or can you direct someone to place addresses at these two sites? This will get all three meters set and will avoid
having to re-apply with your retail provider.
Thank You,

Hey Karen,
9016699 James Smith, noted that there were two meterbases and neither of them were marked with an addresses. There is no phone number on the acct to call someone so they could tell
him which one is the correct one. I put it on J hold. Will someone at the service center be able to get a phone number?
9016668 the underground was completed yesterday. I have released this one for today.

Sheryl,
I am out of the office on vacation this week. Could you see what the problem with 3932 Ponte is (9016699 )? It should have been set last Friday.
Also, could you check on the schedule to build the secondary riser and run the service for 3927 Ponte (9016668). I sent a SOAR UI Friday. My guess is sometime next week.
Thank You,

Just an FYI that the meter at 3962 Vitruvian Way was set on Friday; however the meter at 3932 Ponte was not.

Subject: RE: Vitruvian meters
I’m not award of a document that outlines the procedure but I will try to ask around. I will do my best to explain it though. Once the facilities are built in (transformers set, wire
pulled, etc.), a premise number needs to be set up for the account. Some customers get their own premises set up (888-222-8045) and others ask the New Construction Manager they are
working with to do it. In your case, I called and got your premise numbers set up. A premise number is nothing but a “shell account” that sits there waiting for the customer to contact
a retail provider (application for service) and it also waits for a city inspection to be sent over to Oncor. Once both of these things occur, a meter set order drops.
What happened to all three of these accounts is that the addresses changed from 3960A Vitruvian Way to 3962 Vitruvian Way, from 3960B to 3927 Ponte and from 3960C to 3932 Ponte. The
inspections were called into the old addresses. Therefore, the addresses of the applications for service were different than the addresses of the city inspections. Since the two did
not match, no order would drop for a meter set. I only found out about the address changes last Friday. Because of PUC rules and regulations, the Oncor inspections department only
works with cities and they will not post inspections or move inspections from one address to another on my say so. That is why I kept saying that the city had to contact the Oncor inspections
department to get the inspections posted – not to send the information to me.
That is how the system works in a nut shell. When you call a retail provider and apply for service you need to realize that unless you ask for a priority set (this will cost you and
not all retail providers offer this option) it will schedule for 3 business days out. In your case, 3962 Vitruvian Way and 3932 Ponte both show in the system as having a requested date
of 8/12/11 (Friday). This means you probably did not apply for service until Monday or Tuesday of this week.
All this said though, all construction must be complete in the field for this to work Sometimes depending on the type equipment that is installed in the field, it may take some additional
coordination (on Oncor’s part) to get the right folks in the field to get a meter set. I am going to give you a status update of all three locations.
3962 Vitruvian Way – the inspection posted and the application for service is there. The requested date is tomorrow, 8/12. I have sent a note to the folks in construction trying
to coordinate this meter set since the equipment is such that it requires both a service man and a meter tech to set this meter. It is my sincere hope that you get your meter tomorrow.
Because of scheduling it will be 3:00 to 4:00 before this can happen.
3932 Ponte – the inspection posted and the application for service is there. The requested date is tomorrow, 8/12. This one requires no special coordination and should be set tomorrow.
Please let me know if it does not happen.
3927 Ponte – the inspection had not posted yesterday. It has posted today. This one will not happen tomorrow because we need to build a secondary riser and run the service to your
pedestal. Your conduit had not been installed when we installed the transformer so we could not finish the job while we were out there. I sent an order for this work to be done Monday.
Technically, we have 10 business days to complete these orders but I will try to push it through sooner.
I’m sorry that my frustration came across in my email; I do try very hard to keep things on track at Vitruvian. Between apartments we are currently putting in facilities for, future
ones we are planning for and the park area it is a full time job. The problem is that I am trying to run about 40 other projects at the same time.
If you ever have a question or have any concerns about something, do not hesitate to call me. I will do all that I can to help you. My cell is 817-980-8973 if you have difficulty reaching
me at my office.

Karen,
My issue is not with you. My issue is with the procedure. If we were just dealing with you, I have no doubt that we would have power at this point. I have attached an email that helps
to explain why it appears that we are just jumping hurdles. This email from Amy Seneca at Direct Energy says that Oncor they doesn’t “have the necessary permit information on file.”
I am not sure who at Oncor even handles these kinds of issues or who Amy is speaking with, but perhaps you can help. Please look into it and let me know what I need to do to correct
the situation.
What would be helpful is a SOP that outlines exactly what needed to be done in what order and who to contact at each step to insure that we receive power on time. Does Oncor possess
such a document and if so how can I get my hands on it?
Again, this was not directed and you, just at a system that frustrates and eludes me. I apologize that it came across as such.
Thanks,

I am not trying to put up any hurdles; I am trying to help which is why I sent the detailed email at the bottom of this string. I think what happened is that the inspections were called
into the OLD ADDRESSES and now the addresses have been changed. I don’t have the authority to post inspections on accounts nor do I have the authority to move inspections from one account
to another. There is a process by which cities send inspections to Oncor and this must be followed.
I contacted the department that posts the inspections so that I could give you their contact information. Inspections can be emailed into cityinspections@oncor.com or called into 800-266-2489.
There is also a fax number which I did not get but I am sure that your inspection department has it.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me. I am happy to monitor the accounts to ensure that the inspections do post and I can also see if applications for service
are showing up.

Please see below. We are trying desperately to get electricity to Vitruvian Park, but it seems each time we jump a hurdle with Oncor they put up another. Anyway they will not accept
a scan of the inspection form from UDR, only a copy faxed to them by you. Any help you could give us would be greatly appreciated. I have attached the inspection forms so that you
have a reference.

tied in. As soon as I can find out what size and how many services there are, I will make arrangements to have it connected. (Note to Joel Friday, 8/5)
3927 Ponte Ave. 9016668 Same as above with regard to inspection and application. I am sending an order to install the secondary riser and the service.
3932 Ponte Ave. 9016699 Same as above with regard to inspection and application. All work is done in the field. It is just waiting on the inspection and
application for service.
