Good morning Nancy.  We received a response letter from TCEQ regarding our water permit application.  There are a couple of items that we still  need to provide that require your assistance.
 It seems that the Town is required to notify the County by letter that we will be relocating the existing weir and constructing a reservoir.  I have attached a sample letter that you
can use as a basis.  Also attached is an exhibit that should be attached to the letter.  No response is required from the County, we just need to send the letter by certified mail and
we must provide TCEQ with a copy of the letter receipt (not just documentation that it was sent).  The letter should be printed on Town of Addison letterhead.  I am assuming that this
letter goes to Maurine Dickey at the County, but if not, feel free to edit the letter as you wish.  The County is familiar with this project and a financial investor in this project
as well, so I wouldn’t expect her to have any questions regarding this request, and once again, we do not need the County’s permission or approval, just that we have notified them of
our application.  

 

The second item is something that we have been working on for months now.  TCEQ has rejected Ron and Lea’s signatures on the application.  I have been working with John Hill in providing
proof that Ron and Lea have the authority to sign on behalf of the Town.  John wrote a letter to TCEQ which Ron and Lea signed but TCEQ says that the Town’s charter is not specific enough
to show that they have authority.  They have suggested that the City Council pass a resolution granting the City Manager the authority to sign this application and that we provide minutes
of the Council meeting to TCEQ.  Could you see that we get this on the next council meeting so we can get this permit issued.
