That was the plan sir. From: Joel Massey [mailto:jmassey@icon-engineers.com] Sent: Tuesday, March 22, 2011 1:31 PM To: Eric T. Little Cc: Clay Barnett; Tom Forrest; Ron Lee; rdj@kevinsloanstudio.com; Slade Strickland Subject: RE: Bilco Door for Vitruvian Park Eric, Two more bits of information that someone needs to verify. First, someone should verify the thickness of the Trex with the depth of the pan in the Bilco hatch door. It is very important that the Trex in the hatch lid be flush with the top of the hatch frame. These two dimensions need to be verified. Second, it is important that the Trex Deck gaps line up with the gaps in the hatch door and any partial width Trex pieces in the hatch door be equal on each side. Please ask them to get the detailed dimensions before the Trex deck starts so we can verify. Joel From: Eric T. It would be easier for him to have it on site, but not required. They are proceeding with framing and trex and will set the hatch when it arrives. He called his office and told them to go ahead and order it. Thanks, Eric From: Joel Massey [mailto:jmassey@icon-engineers.com] Sent: Tuesday, March 22, 2011 7:56 AM To: Eric T. If they will, I believe we can do I little layout planning and get the framing plan and Trex decking reference line established. Ask NTC to find out if Bilco will commit to providing accurate dimensions. Joel From: Eric T. The sub is telling me that he can’t even start on the trex until he has the framing complete and he can’t complete the framing without having the hatch on site. I’m not so sure I’m on board with that completely. Let me ponder on it today and get back to you guys. As you know, they can’t complete the framing or start the trex until the hatch is installed. I spoke to Steelco and they said that they can build the hatch that Robyn designed out of aluminum which would lighten the weight significantly. Let me know what you think please.
