Eric,

 

Totally agree.  The issue was that KSS wanted to use this same detail on the street.  We told them that we wanted the same pole as was throughout the rest of town.  Although we changed
the poles in the traffic areas, we left these alone.  Now it does not make any sense to keep them breakaway.

Clay,

 

I suggest that we just direct bury the signs inside the park area. Paying an upcharge and dealing with KSS to put a breakaway base in an non-vehicular area seems like a bit of a waste
to me.

Eric,

 

We killed a substantial amount of time discussing the size of the pole during the planning meetings.  KSS is very passionate about the size of the poles.  Perhaps if we create an RFI,
KSS or Icon can develop another solution that does not increase the size of the poles.
