She said they used 6” as a min cal to count something as a tree. All the ones they ripped out are still on the ground and the rest are still standing. She and I are walking all of it
first thing in the morning.

 

We have informed her and Mike of the silt fence already – I saw it while making my rounds after lunch. They have their guy scheduled to come tomorrow to make the repairs. Plus our SWPPP
inspector is scheduled to be onsite tomorrow too.

Eric,

 

Do we have enough photos of the site to effectively determine the number of trees? At what size is it considered a tree, i.e. 6” or 8”?  I wonder what Jennifer used.

 

On another note, I have been asked to get the silt fence back up where they removed the trees.  Could you speak with Jennifer about that?

Well,

 

I’m not convinced that her numbers are accurate on the total number of trees to be removed. We counted 55 additional trees and she is saying that there were 74 (99-25). That’s where
I am starting from.

Eric,

 

I saw the writing on the wall when Jennifer brought it up.  I think they are actually being kind by offering a $100 per tree break.  They could have billed us for the whole thing.

 

I am concerned that items like this and the bricks have been missed on the plans and specifications…  I am unsure how to resolve these kinds of issues.
