Bruce, I have reviewed Change Order #6 and have the following comments: 1. Item 112 – The change order calls for removing 260 more than is remaining in quantities. 2. Item 320 – The change order calls for removing 68 more than is remaining in quantities. 3. Items 322, 323 & 324 – These were removed with Change Order #1. They need to be changed to CO1-18, CO1-19 & CO1-20. Additionally for CO1-19 there is 67 more units to be removed than remains in the contract and CO1-20 is currently billed at 100%. 4. CO1-2 – This is currently billed at 100%. 5. CO2-19 – This is currently billed at 100%. 6. CO2-30 – The change order calls for removing 85 more than is remaining in quantities. 7. CO2-38 – This is currently billed at 100%. 8. CO6-12 needs to be changed to CO6-11. I have attached a copy of Pay Application 14 so that you can compare the change orders and the amounts remaining in each item. I am sure that some of them may have been over billed, but there are others that look like they need to be compared with past change orders. Please work with Eric to resolve all of the issues. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks, Clay Barnett, P.E. In lieu of adding this new item, we have included bid item 131, F & I Electric Service to Panel GA, and added an additional 169 LF at $25.00/LF. We are adding the latest additional items that you provided and will send you the CO #6 very soon. Joel From: Eric T. That’s why the new wire price is higher. Thanks, Eric From: Joel Massey [mailto:jmassey@icon-engineers.com] Sent: Wednesday, June 08, 2011 7:51 AM To: Eric T. It looks like we will have to add some concrete pavement also because the original quantity was based on the old bridge design which was longer. The new bridge is shorter and additional concrete pavement will be required. The price shown for the OOOO Electric Conductor is over 3 times the cost of the LARGER 250 MCM conductor. Joel A. Three notes here: 1. ICON needs to add in the credit for the deleted paving south of Ponte. 2. The Bilco Hatch issue seems like it’s going away. 3. The granite bollards pricing might need to go away if we just go back to the original design. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, Eric
