Clay, We had a meeting with the most qualified and experienced screen wall contractor in DFw this morning as well as a conference call with Olden. I think we have a really good shot at saving some good money on this option and I should know more soon. I did a little sketch to describe what we will propose. We will install soil nails at the parking lot to eliminate the need for any retaining wall at this location. After the shoring is backfilled we will install a standard screen wall that will only need a substructure capable of supporting the screen wall itself. Next to the wall we will grade the slope at a constant slope to achieve positive drainage from this point to the adjacent fence. Should work out. I will let you know the savings amount as soon as I find out. Take a look and let me know if you have any questions. Both the soil nail shoring and the screen wall will include their own respective engineering as well.
