UDR is in the process of preparing an internal change order to Andres Construction Company to add to their scope of construction the hardscape and landscape/irrigation work from back of curb inward along Vitruvian Way and on Ponte. The scope of this was reviewed with Icon and KSS a couple of weeks ago. As a point of record, their scope of work excludes, bollards, benches, trash receptacles, the fountain assembly and system, ramps, electrical, light poles or bases, sleeving for fountain or irrigation, power to irrigation controllers, water taps and meters, or relocation of any utilities. We are simply making everyone aware of this so there is no misunderstandings. Andres will place pavers down where the fountain goes with a temporary subbase underneath it. When the 1C Park Contractor is ready to install the fountain system, the pavers will be removed by Andres, stored and then replaced as necessary around the fountain. This work, which was intended to be in the current park package is extracted to allow it to be completed in a timely manner and allow UDR to complete work around our buildings prior to our on-site leasing which begins in January. In our change order to Andres, we will address the applicable current bid package drawings and specifications for them to use as their guide for completion of the work. However, if there are any specific drawings, details or specification sections you feel need to be highlighted, please advise UDR back ASAP. It's our understanding the only requirement that Andres needs to do before beginning work is to submit for a right of way permit. We assume that observation and testing of their work related to division 2 and 3 will be done by Kleinfelder. If this is not the case please advise. If there are any submittals the Town of Addison expects to see for the work, we'd like to know of them at this time as well and how you'd like them to be submitted and to whom. In review of the park bid package, the associated work area for landscape/hardscape on Vitruvian Parkway and Ponte have been called out as "under separate contract." We think there may be some gray areas that have to be coordinated with the low bidder before or after award, including the exclusions noted above and in particular irrigation. Phase 1C infrastructure drawings show irrigation in that package. Perhaps this has been clarified by RFI or Amendment. Any comments or concerns would be appreciated at your earliest convenience. We will be ready to proceed with the work in early December. Jules Roberts Jules D.
