I just talked with Eric Little and got his feedback on what is in North Texas’ contract and what the Town is responsible for: 1) “Clearing and Grubbing” is something N. Texas is responsible for per original contract. 2) Limbing of trees to 12’ was in the contract but pulled out at the request of the Parks Dept. 3) Invasive species removals is currently not under contract and either the Town can handle this or we can do an add to N. Texas’ contract and have them to do it. 4) All trees marked for removal have not been removed and N. Texas is responsible for all the trees; they have been paid for all removals to date which accounts for 50% of the amount owed. An additional $50K was authorized for removing the remainder of the trees chosen for removal but were not shown on the approved construction plans. None of the downstream trees other than a few near the bridge have been removed. Should I funnel pricing for the limbing to 12’ through Eric and let him pursue pricing on the Town’s behalf from American or do you want me to pursue directly with American? I already have (3) prices from other tree companies for comparison. The only other thing we will need to decide upon is the invasive species removals and who is going to accomplish this and either add to N. Texas’ contract or the Town pursue separately.
