Clay, After review of the addendum, I have the following questions regarding drill shafts: 1. In the list of items that were modified to un-include drill shafts, it seems that some were missed. We assume that the intent of the addendum was to pay all shafts under the new item, but we wanted to make sure. Items that have drill shafts that the addendum did not address are as follows: a. B.I. 43 Lake Edge Wall (4’ AFG) b. B.I.’s 266 & 267 Screening Wall c. B.I. 283 Retaining Wall d. B.I. 338 Restroom/Concessions Building 2. Sheets SP201 & SP202 indicate that there are drill shafts under the weirs, but SP405 is unclear. It doesn’t really show any shaft details. Please clarify. 3. Sheet SP201 also seems to indicate that there are shafts under the amphitheater, but SP305 is unclear. Please clarify. 4. Also, my questions below were never answered. Sh. SP304 – I cannot find a detail for the masonry fence without a retaining wall. (Bid Item 266) 2. Sheet SP402 shows how to interpret the pier legend flags. If I use this information to read the flags on sheets SP206 & 207, it tells me that all of the shafts on the screening wall/fence are 18” diameter with a 20 ft penetration into bearing strata. a. 18” diameter conflicts with sheet SP304/01, which calls for a 12” diameter pier. Which one do you want? b. Does there really need to be 20 feet penetration for a fence? Is this supposed to indicate total pier depth of 20 feet? c. In some places the notation indicates that the top of pier elevation is as much as 4 feet below the bottom of the wall. Please clarify. Thanks. Mike Fowler Rebcon, Inc. 1868 W. Northwest Hwy.
