Can we eliminate the irrigation loop, thus eliminating the creek crossing at the weir, Ponte bridge and Bella bridge? 2. If the answer to question 1 is no, then what type of material is acceptable for the creek crossing and what options are available as this line will be a very deep line to maintain in the future? Yes History (Chronological Order) Type Routed Billable n/a Memo Per Ron Lee of ToA: "Recommendation: Divide looped system into two separate systems. This would eliminate the need to bore the creek and also would most likely allow the size of the mainline to be greatly reduced. Both of these would save the city money. However, a redesign of portions of the irrigation system would have to occur (sizing and routing of mainline) and most likely a 2nd tap on the far side of the creek would be needed; the water main stub out on the far side of the Ponte bridge could be used for this." The 4" irrigation loop main to be installed inside 6" sleeve utilizing 4" HDPE continuous pipe at the creek crossings. The one additional creek crossing (south of Ponte) for irrigation control wiring shall be one 4" HDPE continuous conduit. The minimum specification for all HDPE pipe shall be SDR 13.5.
