Vitruvian Design Team, Austin Road & Bridge has submitted a design for the pedestrian bridge. The design differs slightly, so I felt it best to run it past the team and make sure that everyone is pleased with it. The attachment shows both the pedestrian bridge submitted by Austin on the top and the bridge included in the plans on the bottom. The main difference is the tapering at each end of the bridge. The bridge in the plans tapers down to a thin section at each end of the bridge. The bridge that was submitted by Austin has an approximately 2.5’ vertical member at each end and the arch for the truss is tied into the top of that member. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks, Clay Barnett, P.E.
