Clay –
I just received the Phase 1D specification packet, and had a chance to review it this afternoon. I had a just few questions:
1) Is this project ready to bid, or are there still tweaks being made? If the bid is finalized, I’ll need a completed, updated spec by tomorrow at noon to make a Friday publication
deadline. If it isn’t finalized yet, then we’d need to advertise no later than May 7 to make a bid opening of May 24, and would likely need to move the pre-bid meeting, currently scheduled
for next Thursday.
Currently we are scheduled to start the advertisement this Friday, April 30.
2) Bid number for this project should be 10-09. It looks as thought it hadn’t been updated at points throughout the spec.
Eric with Halff will get this corrected.
3) Item #3 on the advertisement needs to include the phrase “bid bonds need to be signed originals to be valid – no photocopied, faxed, or scanned copies will be accepted.”
Eric will include this.
4) Item #4 says that I am the distributor of plans and specs. I wanted to verify this is what you intended, since this would represent a departure from other Vitruvian Park bids.
Public Works would prefer to handle the distribution of the plans and specifications. I will speak with Eric about this and get it revised.
5) Item #8 has 972-450-7089 as a listed phone number. That should read 972-450-7090, and should probably include my name and title, as well.
Eric will take care of this.
Other than that, everything looks to be in order. Please let me know how I may be of any assistance.
