Austin Bridge & Road forwarded this same information to Eric Little on Friday and he placed it into system for us. 

 

 We will speak with AFCO, but all future submittals/RFI’s should come through Austin Bridge & Road.  Based on our Preconstruction meeting, these will be submitted to UDR.  Please return
the submittals/RFI’s directly to Austin.   If there is any question regarding a submittal that would most easily be addressed by the supplier, Austin does not have an issue with Halff
communication directly with the supplier to expedite the review process.

 

I think our supplier jumped the gun a little here, I apologize for any misunderstanding.

Yesterday, we received an RFI from AFCO Steel in Little Rock, AR, regarding the use of a substitute slide bearing for the arches. While we are willing to review this submittal, we wanted
to make sure it went through the proper channels, which is why we're forwarding it to your attention. We have two simple questions:

1.       To whom should we send our response to the attached RFI?

2.       Who will be coordinating future submittals for this project: Austin or UDR?

 

Please let me know and we'll respond appropriately.

Here are the product data sheets for the Con-Serv slide bearings that we intend to furnish for the Addison vehicular bridges (We will be supplying the Type CSA bearings). Please verify
that these slide bearings can be furnished as an approved equal for the Fluorogold slide bearings as shown on the contract drawings.
