The BASMAP.DGN you attached to the original email should NOT be sent to the contractor.  This file contains extensive information that is preliminary, for planning purposes only and
has nothing to do with the bridge construction.

 

Earlier in the project, we provided a CAD file to you, VP-BridgeLocationBase.dgn, showing the three bridge locations in the development.  I believe all of your bridge plan CAD files
are consistent with this file.  We have updated the VP-BridgeLocationBase.dgn file from your bridge plan files provided to us on 6/30/10, and have attached the file, in PDF and CAD formats,
for your distribution to the contractor.  This file contains only the bridge layouts, roadway centerlines and adjacent property lines (for reference only).

Bruce,

We have been asked by Austin Bridge and Road to provide them with some CAD files for their use in constructing the bridges at Vitruvian Park. While we created site plans of all of our
bridges, we referenced them to the base file (BASMAP.DGN) provided to Halff by your office. Since it would be beneficial to send that file to Austin along with our bridge site plans,
we're seeking Icon's approval to do so.

 

Would it be acceptable to Icon Consulting Engineers to let Halff Associates send the file BASMAP.DGN to Austin Bridge and Road? I've attached the file here for your review. If you'd
rather send them the file directly, please send it to Jeff Gray at jgray@austin-ind.com as well as a copy to us.
