Perfect. Hopefully he was able to see the magnitude of cracking in all directions. Let me know if you need anything else from me on this. Brian J. LaFoy, P.E. Vice President Nathan D. Little; Jones, Major Subject: Vitruvian - Bella Avenue Bridge Deck Andrew, I visited the site again this morning with Clay to observe a number of cracks in the Bella bridge deck. While the cracks do not seem to be a big issue today, there is some concern about their behavior in the future. For instance, will they open up and allow water to infiltrate the deck and help corrode the reinforcement? We are also concerned about the “birdbath” at the southeast corner of the bridge deck; since the bridge deck slopes at 0.8% to the south, we would expect to find the birdbath located on the approach slab (if anywhere) where the sidewalk widens toward the bridge centerline. Due to these concerns, we are requesting that Austin provide us with potential solutions to these issues in the form of separate RFIs via Projectmates. We will review each RFI with the Town and respond as quickly as possible. Feel free to contact me directly should you have any questions or concerns regarding this message. Eric Eric S.
