They are shown to be stubbed out of the bridge 2 times on each end, but it does not show where to terminate. Sheet C801 on the Park Drawing does not show junction boxes or 1 ¼" conduits. Please advise. Proposed Solution Attached Files (none) Section: 16 - Electrical Int. The Electrical Contractor does not have Icon's Revised drawings for streetlighting to Bella bridge. If Icon's revised and coordinated sheets have been issued, there location needs to be identified for both the Contractor and Halff's Engineers. Fortunately the Electrical contractor is the same on both projects. Unfortunately he does not have the drawings necessary to coordinate the work or to provide a proposal for the Electrical Service changes to the bridges. It would be a great help if someone could provide the necessary contract documents or the location of the documents. It was my understanding, through our meetings and discussions, that connections to the Bella Lane bridge lighting (street & accent) would be made by another electrical contractor (still TBD). I believe that Note 12 for Bella Lane bridge should read as follows: END & PLUG 1 1/4" CONDUIT (10' OUTSIDE OF THE APPROACH SLAB) FROM POLE MOUNTED FIXTURE TYPE B FOR CONNECTION & EXTENSION BY OTHERS. EXTENSION OF 1 1/4" CONDUITS TO ADJACENT STREET LIGHTING SYSTEM TO BE BY OTHERS. 2 #6, 1 #8 G STREET LIGHTING CIRCUIT CONNECTIONS AT POLE MOUNTED FIXTURE TYPE B TO BE BY OTHERS. Our plan is to have electric power ready at the time the Bella Lane bridge lighting is ready. The Bella Lane roadway street lighting design is complete and currently shown on preliminary plans that have not yet been bid. Other options exist as needed. The better solution is to obtain the Bella Lane plans from Icon once they are finalized, then issue any necessary modifications to Halff's drawings to make the two fully coordinated. Otherwise, there's a good chance we'll be modifying our drawings twice. The original RFI is requesting information as to where to terminate the conduit and wiring. My response was to clarify that the bridge contractor was not to provide wiring to the point of termination (note 12), only conduit. The situation is similar to that shown in note 13 for bridge accent lighting. The actual location for the termination of the conduit should be coordinated with the preliminary plans I provided to Halff on 7/30/10 attached. The final Bella Lane street lighting plans will reflect this preliminary conduit connection layout. Legend Note 11 refers to expansion fittings and not conduit, per se; its reference in the RFI is ignored unless further clarification is sent to our attention. The conduits referenced by Legend Note 12 on Sheet E2-01 will need to extend a distance of 10' beyond the edge of approach slab (as shown in the plan view). As suggested by Icon (Bella Lane consultant), these conduits will be capped for use by the Bella Lane contractor at a later date. The 2-#6, #8G circuit shown in Legend Note 12 will NOT be provided by the bridge contractor. Per General Note J, bridge contractor does not provide the conductors and final connections to street lighting on the bridge. We trust that this response closes this RFI.
