Clay, I wanted to echo Karl's sense of urgency on getting the meter installed for Loos Pool. The message we have been sending to Ratcliff is that they need to address the Town's requirements and need to correct any deficiencies quickly so that we would be able to meet the District's deadline of August 3rd for the Pool. After you mentioned that there was a concern with the size of the vault, I told Ratcliff to confirm the size and report back to me immediately. I have attached some pictures of their findings. Let me know if there is anything I can do on the District's side of the fence to help expedite the meter installation. I will be in the office most of the day, other than a 10 AM meeting with Ron Whitehead at Town Hall. I'm getting some mixed information on the progress and completion of the meter and was wondering if you could call me tomorrow morning so that we can discuss this issue. 1. I was told that the vault installed was not the correct size. The installed vault is 6'x11' which is the size shown on the Town approved civil drawings. 2. I was told from the beginning of the project that the meter was ready as soon as the vault was installed. I'm now being told that there are fittings and parts that are not ready and installation cannot be completed. 3. We were informed that we had to give a two week notice. I was told that the Town was informed over 2 weeks ago of what week the vault would be installed. I want to get this installed correctly but I'm getting mixed information. Substantial completion is scheduled for Tuesday of next week and is a very critical date for the district. The partnership between the district and the Town has been very successful on these projects and if there is anything that I can do to get permanent water to Loos Pool by Monday of next week, please let me know.
