We've been looking at the proposal for the emergency repair on Delta and
we have some questions.  We let Garver take a look too, so they can
familiarize themselves with the contractor.  Would you take a look at
Tim's first comment?  Joel and I are both uneasy about the proposal
being a standard labor and equipment rate charge and not an actually
proposal for the whole job.  We just want to know what we're getting
into before we start.

Two things:

Their proposed rates & charges are unclear regarding markups (see
attached highlights)

Their letter notes a meeting on 10/23. I assume you showed them the area
to be repaired. Correct?

OK. We'll review the rates & charges. Assuming they're OK, we'll contact

Frank/Tim,

 

I've attached a rates and charges agreement from John Burns
Construction, which is the contractor the town recommended to us for the
temporary repair on Delta.  Would you mind looking over this document
just make sure it sounds reasonable and then we would appreciate if you
would contact Paul Roy with John Burns to explain what we have discussed
as the fix for Delta and also oversee whatever onsite engineering needs
to be done.  Let me know if this will work for you?
