            If I am not mistaken, the Taxiway Romeo project was advertised for bids July 12 and will be advertised again July 19. The schedule I have is as follows:

 

Advertise July 12 & July 19

Open Bids July 27

Council Agenda Deadline July 30

Council Meeting August 10 (approve bid award)

Construction August 24– September 24

 

Bids are due on the opening date of July 27; check with Public Works for the time and location, I’m not certain where that ended up. Frank McIllwain of Garver is our engineer on the
project.

I've left you a voice mail with this same message.  I have another construction entity, Vanquin, Inc., which carries several state and federal minority certifications.  It's my understanding
that the airport is looking at performing improvements to the Romeo airstrip.  Can you tell me if the airport is still accepting bids for this work?  if so, I'd welcome the opportunity
to offer our services.  The certifications we currently carry include:  State of Texas HUB, NMSDC, and WEBNC.  Additionally, we are in application for the Federal 8a and State DBE.
