Dave, We do have a contractor that can probably handle this as an emergency repair if it meets the criteria for that. If so, please let me know and I will get him out here to have a look at it. I don’t know if the Utility folks will communicate with you on this or not, so I’ll let you know what was on the video. First off, we did not see any damage to the piping or joints. The hole in Taxiway Delta is approximately 93’ from the inlet Jason set up at. He ran the video in for 143 feet and everything looked normal. There are black patches in various areas along the piping, which looked like a tar compound of some kind. The patches still look good. He saw two rocks lying in the pipe about the size of a fist. The pipes were pretty clean, no dirt or gravel piles. We want to get this fixed as soon as possible before weather becomes more of an issue, so our question is what do we do next? If you look between the two inlets, north of Delta and south of Delta, the hole in the pavement appears to be slightly to the east of the inlet path/piping. Could this just be a compaction problem along the side of the piping? Do we saw cut and dig this area up and investigate? Do you have a contractor in mind that could help us with this?
